Overview

This service is used for retrieving the details of PUC certification of vehicle using vehicle registration number

What is a Puc Certificate?

A Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate is an official document issued by the government that certifies a vehicle's emissions are in compliance with the pollution control standards.

This document is crucial for several reasons:

Legal Compliance: It's a mandatory document as per the motor vehicle laws in many regions, required to be carried by drivers at all times. Without a valid PUC certificate, vehicle owners may face legal penalties.

Environmental Responsibility: The PUC certificate ensures that the vehicle's emissions are within the prescribed pollution norms and thus helps in reducing the environmental impact of the vehicle.

Insurance Claims: In some cases, having a valid PUC certificate may be required for processing insurance claims, as it shows the vehicle was in compliance with legal standards at the time of any incident.

How to call the API

You will need to login before sending the request. You are required to pass the access token received from the login call as the authorization header in the request.

API Input Guidelines

vehicleNumber : The vehicle registration number. It should be a valid registration number, formatted according to the Indian vehicle registration system.Vehicle Number is the Mandatory Parameter to be passed.

detailedRcBackup : If the details of PUCC are not found in the source , then an backup is added which provide basic details like validity of existing PUC for these vehicles.
