Digilocker APIs - what's it and how to use

Digilocker is a flagship program initiated by the Government of India, as part of the Digital India campaign. It is a secure and digital document wallet where users can store their important documents such as Aadhaar, driver's license, and other government-issued certificates.

With the Digilocker API provided by Signzy Technologies Private Limited, developers can easily integrate Digilocker functionalities into their applications.

1) What will happen if the Digilocker ID owner (client) declines consent on the URL shared by the Requester for specific documents? If a client declines consent for required documents by deselecting them on the iFrame, the requester will not be able to pull the ID using the "RequestId." 2) Can the requester pull all the required documents with the "RequestId" even if the client has not issued them to themselves on the Digilocker App? If the client has not issued the required documents on the Digilocker app themselves, the requester can still pull the docs using the "RequestId" if the client has given consent within the Digilocker iFrame (Response URL of Create URL API). The requester needs to use the Pull doc v2 API. 3) How will the Digilocker-based solution work for the client whose PAN is not linked with Aadhaar? Fetching ePAN from Digilocker has nothing to do with PAN Aadhaar linkage. Scenario 1: The client has already issued themselves an ePAN in Digilocker and has given consent in the Digilocker iFrame (received from the Create URL API). The requester will be able to fetch it using Get Details and Get Files. Scenario 2: The client has not issued themselves an ePAN in the Digilocker app and has given consent in the Digilocker iFrame. The requester has to fetch it through the Pull doc API or Pull doc v2 API since unissued documents will not be visible in response to the Get details API. 4) There is no profile picture in the PAN fetched from the Digilocker account. Would the requester get any image with the XML/digital file? No, the profile picture is not present in the PAN issued in Digilocker. 5) What is the latency if a document/ID of a client is updated? It can be considered real-time. Whenever a change happens in the document, it's updated in Digilocker as Digilocker is synced with the respective ID/Document source. 6) Can the Requester decide which documents/IDs should be by default ticked on the Digilocker consent page? i.e., if we want Aadhaar, PAN, and Driving License to be ticked by default. Aadhaar, PAN verification, and DL are selected by default. For the inclusion of other documents/IDs in consent iFrame, connect with the Signzy Sales team. 7) What if the Requester wants to fetch additional documents apart from the PAN, Aadhaar, and DL? The requester needs to select the docIDs and orgIDs that they want to fetch while getting onboarded on the Digilocker API of Signzy. They can get the exhaustive list from https://docs.signzy.com/api-marketplace/get-list-of-documents API or the Sales team. 8) If a person doesn't have a Digilocker account, that person can create and link documents.

A Digilocker account is necessary for giving consent for docs/IDs sharing.

9) Will I get the pdf and xml data in GetFiles or Pull Document v2 response for all docs and IDs?

The response will have the data that the issuer of ID/Docs is providing to Digilocker.
