Challan Payment Quote

Introduction

This service returns every pending (payable) traffic challan on a vehicle, priced with the applicable convenience fee, using the vehicle registration number as input.

Each challan in the response carries a quoteId that locks its price for 7 days. Passing that quoteId to the Initiate Challan Payment API pays the challan at exactly the quoted price — no amount needs to be sent again.

All amounts are in INR and returned as rupee strings with two decimals (e.g. "1300.00").

How to call the API

You are required to pass your assigned access token as the Authorization header in the request. The endpoint is a POST with a JSON body.

Every successful response is wrapped in a result object. Every error is wrapped in an error object with a machine-readable reason and a human-readable message.

API Input Guidelines

vehicleNumber is the mandatory parameter. It can be passed in lower or upper case.

challanNumber is optional — when passed, only that challan is returned (404 if it is not pending on the vehicle).

Only challans that are currently pending/unpaid at the source are returned.
