Introduction

This API allows you to retrieve the name of the account holder associated with a bank account number and IFSC code. You can also provide the name of the account holder and choose to perform a fuzzy match to get a response that indicates whether the provided name matches the name registered with NPCI, the governing body of digital payments in India. The fuzzy match response includes a score between 0 and 1 to indicate the strength of the match.

When searching for a bank account, this API uses only the bank identification part of the IFSC code to verify the transaction. This means that any branch of the bank can be used to complete the transaction as long as it belongs to the same bank. For example, the IFSC codes "SBIN0011542" and "SBIN0011545" both belong to State Bank of India and can be used to complete a transaction for a beneficiary account that belongs to the same bank.

The name of the account holder returned by this API is the name registered with NPCI.

How to call the API

You must first login before sending the request. The authorization header in the request must include the access token obtained from the login API call.

Response Parameter

result.active	This parameter displays whether the transfer status is active or not and returns a Yes/No response.
result.nameMatch	This parameter matches the entered name against the name in the bank records and returns a Yes/No response.
result.mobileMatch	Whenever a transaction is generated, the reference is returned to the registered mobile number and this parameter checks if there is a match with the mobile reference and returns a Yes/No in response.
result.signzyReferenceId	This is the unique Signzy reference Id that is attached to the transaction for user reference.
result.auditTrail	This parameter is used to perform the details of an initiated transaction for later use for audit purposes.
auditTrail.nature	This displays the unique receiver registration number or RRN for the particular bank where the transaction was initiated.
auditTrail.value	A unique reference value of the transaction is shown here.
auditTrail.timestamp	The timestamp of the transaction is displayed by this parameter.
result.nameMatchScore	This parameter provides a name match score between 1.0-0 for the name provide as input and name registered with NPCI
result.banktransfer	The details of the bank transaction are recorded in this parameter.
